First Time To Cut Your Own Tree?
Easy Step By Step Instructions

1. One of our friendly greeters
will give you an information sheet
and a tree claim tag when you arrive

2. Pick up a saw and a measuring stick.

3. Catch a ride on one of the wagons
that will take you out to the fields
.

4. Take your time and find "your"
     special Christmas tree.

7. Pull your tree out to the end of the
row where you can catch a ride back
to the measuring, shaking and baling area
.

8. All trees will be measured , shaken and baled.  After your
tree has been measured you will be given a portion of the
tree claim tag to take to the cashier.   Please notify us at this time if you do not want your tree baled.  Baling is done automatically unless you advise not to.  Baling is a process that wraps your tree for transport and allows for easier entry into your home.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

9. Take the tree claim tag to the cashier where it will be marked paid and returned to you.  Your tree will be waiting in the claim area.  You must turn in your tree claim tag to pick up your tree.

5. Use the saw to cut down your tree.
    Always cut away from you.
Be sure to cut the trunk as low to
the ground as possible. It is important
to allow enough trunk for the tree
stand to hold the tree. Do not cut the bottom
limbs off of your tree because this can ruin the     entire shape of the tree.

6. Attach your tree claim tag tightly to the top of your tree at this time.

10. Twine is available for tying your tree to your vehicle.  The tree farm is not responsible for securing your tree to your vehicle.

11. Always keep water in your tree stand!  A freshly cut tree can
drink as much as a gallon of water per day.        .
